The BIG one!!

I fell out of bed straight away!!! I thought I was dreaming for a start. My bed was shaking very strongly.I turned on my lamp and I had no idea what was happening.
Suddenly Mum came in during an aftershock.
“Are you all right?”, she asked.
“Yes”, I said sleepily.
I went and got into bed with Mum and Dad. The lights were still shaking! Mum turned on the radio.
It said that an earthquake had struck very badly in Christchurch. On the Richter scale it was a magnitude of 7.4. My Dad said that we only got the ripple of the earthquake because it was badly struck in Christchurch.
I couldn’t get to sleep for quite a while. I was still shaking the next day.

EARTHQUAKE!

I woke up in shock at 4 o'clock in the morning. My little sister Margaret was snoring her head off!
She decided to scream and cry at the same time, crying EARTHQUAKE! I was very very very tired afterwards because Jaden and I played the playstation all night .

EARTH QUAKE

I woke up with a shock. In a split second Mum said:

"It is an earthquake".

My room was shaking and creaking. I was scared. I was
going to go somewhere safe but I did't know how bad it

was going to get. At first I thought it was a big truck on

the road but it wasn't.
After that I got back to sleep.

I woke up with a jolly good fright. I thought my bed was jelly. My bedroom door was opening and closing really fast. I couldn’t get to sleep at all. All of my medals fell onto the chair lounge. It gave me a really big fright.

The earthquake story Hannah

I woke up with a jump. I fell out of bed. I tried to stand up but I just fell on my bed. I only woke up to the last five seconds of the earthquake. It was the first time that I have ever felt an earthquake so it was a very scary experience for me.

When the earthquake was happening I stayed in my bed because I thought it was wind and rain smashing against my wall and window but it wasn’t.

When the earthquake had stopped I raced to my Mum and Dad’s room where my sisters and Mum and Dad were standing.

Mum said “That was the biggest earthquake I have ever felt." She said that because she always wakes up to the small earthquakes but this was not a small earthquake, and everyone felt it. Although it was scary it was quite cool to feel the first earthquake I have ever felt.
